Thanks Peggy. I never tire of seeing the anemonefish. They can be shy yet playful. Before I moved from MI, I bought a dry suit for chilly Lake Michigan but didn't get a chance to use it before moving to Guam. Waters ar so warm here,83 degrees, and there is so much to see. I enjoy it. I appreciate your comments. :-)

Absolutely delightful! Love the straight-on perspective and you have captured it perfectly. I had to give up scuba about 10 years ago and truly miss it - even in our much blander Great Lakes!!

I appreciate your comment on colors Marsha. Under water anemone looks quite beige. I added a few layers of color on my own to spice it up a bit. I added blue to splash off the orange fish. This little guy was a baby, about 2 inches long, doing his best to hide from me. Thanks ladies!

Lisa, this could be my all time favorite. Absolutley fantastic job. Great repition of shapes, great value shifts, great color, fantastic lost and found edges, there is so much mystery and I can feel the movement of the water. This just rocks. Fantastic! I would think a series of these would be amazing.

About Lisa Pope

Lisa Pope

I attempt to capture light and color that breathe life into the subjects I paint. I wish to carry the viewer on this journey with me, to find interest in the ordinary. I have always loved art! However, I chose to pursue a degree in education and pursued a career as a school counselor, got married and started a family; which left little time for art. I grew to miss it. During the past five years, I have immersed myself in painting every chance I get and reading all I can about art. I reconnected to my original love for art. I love how it feels to start with a fresh piece of paper. Its like Im seeing something for the first time, when I study it to paint it. I apply paint and cant wait to see what happens.
