A very dear women from Japan came by to see my art exhibit, while at DFS Galleria on Guam. She asked if I could paint her little white dog. Her little dog was so cute I couldn't resist. Using the photo she had on her cell phone, I rendered this painting. This was a fun.
About Lisa Pope
I attempt to capture light and color that breathe life into the subjects I paint. I wish to carry the viewer on this journey with me, to find interest in the ordinary. I have always loved art! However, I chose to pursue a degree in education and pursued a career as a school counselor, got married and started a family; which left little time for art. I grew to miss it. During the past five years, I have immersed myself in painting every chance I get and reading all I can about art. I reconnected to my original love for art. Thanks ladies. He was such a cute little guy with his head tilted like that. Yes, while I wanted to reflect blue in his fur, I added some warmth on top for contrast.

Yep, another winner. I love the way the gray in the background merges into the gray in the shadows in the fur...as well allowing the blue to reflect into his furry coat keeps him from looking cut and paste. Well done!
