Plumeria flowers have a gentle sweet fragrance that grows stronger at night. The plumeria, noted for having 5 simple teardrop shaped petals, can be found in many colors. They are beautiful when worn behind the ear. I found this one among the flower gardens, in the condo where I live.
About Lisa Pope
I attempt to capture light and color that breathe life into the subjects I paint. I wish to carry the viewer on this journey with me, to find interest in the ordinary. I have always loved art! However, I chose to pursue a degree in education and pursued a career as a school counselor, got married and started a family; which left little time for art. I grew to miss it. During the past five years, I have immersed myself in painting every chance I get and reading all I can about art. I reconnected to my original love for art. Well thank you so much Xueling. I found this one a bit challenging as the tree was full providing lots of shade to the leaves and flowers. I wanted to include the shadows but convey in such as way that the painting didn't become dull or dark. i find these flowers so lovely. I appreciate your feedback. :-)
