About Lisa Pope
I attempt to capture light and color that breathe life into the subjects I paint. I wish to carry the viewer on this journey with me, to find interest in the ordinary. I have always loved art! However, I chose to pursue a degree in education and pursued a career as a school counselor, got married and started a family; which left little time for art. I grew to miss it. During the past five years, I have immersed myself in painting every chance I get and reading all I can about art. I reconnected to my original love for art. I love how it feels to start with a fresh piece of paper. Its like Im seeing something for the first time, when I study it to paint it. I apply paint and cant wait to see what happens. Thanks Sandy. I really like this original painting. The prints I had made didn't do it justice. I tried my printer as well as the one downtown. I managed to sell an 8x10 a few weeks ago. But I am still searching for a better quality print to offer.

Hey there Lisa....I was wondering .....have you printed this for sale at the market? It is so stunning and I am thinking the locals and tourists would love it. It is so real. Those purple clouds look like they are pulsing with orange light behind them. Amazing work!

wow, I appreciate that. I did this one on black pastel paper. The sun was minutes from setting yet so colorful. I wanted to try to capture that.
