Manta ray diving down

Thank you so much, Sandy, for your thoughtful and detailed remarks. I enjoyed doing this acrylic so much, I want to do more. I plan to do a whole series of manta rays. (I didn't use a tiny brush on the belly, it was just the way I applied the paint)

Lisa, this is so striking when I open up your page. This just jumps out at you. I know I say this all the time but I think this is your best rendering yet. It embodies every element of great art. Subtle value shifts, great composition, it strongly suggests power, movement and grace all at the same time. In particular I noticed on the underbelly the very thin line of bright on the edge...I don't know how you accomplished that....you must have had a really good small brush. WOW. Love this one.!
