Description
You almost always see a blue sea star while at a beach or scuba diving on Guam. They are found in the Indian and Pacific Ocean near sunny reefs. I think their bright blue color is stunning. They are also called Blue Starfish. In November 2011, I participated in the 8th annual postcard art silent auction at the Isla Center for the Arts at the University of Guam. It was a fund raiser for the KPRG 89.3FM public radio station. I donated this 5x7 "blue starfish" watercolor painting which sold. The event was lots of fun and I was happy to be a part of it.

Hello Judy, very interesting. These blue starfsh are very common in this part of the Pacific. I see them where I live on Guam, almost every time I am in the water whether I am diving, snorkling or walking on the beach. They really are this color and I and fascinated by them. They keep finding their way in more of my paintings. I am glad you enjoy them too.
