You almost always see a blue sea star while at a beach or scuba diving on Guam. They are found in the Indian and Pacific Ocean near sunny reefs. I think their bright blue color is stunning. They are also called Blue Starfish.
About Lisa Pope
I attempt to capture light and color that breathe life into the subjects I paint. I wish to carry the viewer on this journey with me, to find interest in the ordinary. I have always loved art! However, I chose to pursue a degree in education and pursued a career as a school counselor, got married and started a family; which left little time for art. I grew to miss it. During the past five years, I have immersed myself in painting every chance I get and reading all I can about art. I reconnected to my original love for art. I love how it feels to start with a fresh piece of paper. It�s like I�m seeing something for the first time, when I study it to paint it. I apply paint and can�t wait to see what happens. Thanks Michael. It's funny, for being such a simple idea for a painting, I have sold more prints of this one than any other. Yet I haven't sold one print from some of my other paintings. You just never know what will generate interest.....

Hi Carl. Thank you for your comment. I wish you could have seen some of these. I have seen them on boat dives and along some of the beaches. But I lived there for 2 1/2 years so I had many chances to come across them.
